Another socially distanced wedding for the books! I met Nick + Rochelle when I worked at a Bible College in the middle of no where Saskatchewan. I had the privilege of getting to know them both and calling them my friends. Nick has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met. He cares for people deeply and loves them well. Rochelle is the definition of an amazing friend. She is a seeker of truth, she's not afraid to ask the hard questions and she will continue to keep you accountable along the way. The way they serve people is undeniably incredible. They take the time to honour and care for those around them. I felt immensely thanked and appreciated the entire time I was there.
For one second I have to express how excited I was about the amount of windows in this air bnb, MY WORD it was glorious! So much natural light was brought in to make it an absolute dream to take getting ready photos in. Not to mention, the weather was perfect the entire day, not even one drop of rain fell on us (and that's surprising for BC!). As the ceremony finished, we gathered into the church for the reception. There was a beautiful display of charcuterie boards (my fav!) along with a family recipe punch and candies as the party favour. Along with the delicious food was laughter and joy that lingered throughout the reception hall.
I realized on this trip the true beauty of BC. It had been years since I had been to this wonderful province but as we took photos at the portrait location I stood in amazement of the beautiful forest surrounding me. I couldn’t believe that I was actually somewhere this stunning (I couldn't tell you how many times I contemplated moving there from the view alone).
I love each and every wedding I photograph. Each so unique and tailored to that specific couple. Each so beautiful and perfect in its own way. It was truly a beautiful day celebrating an amazing couple. Thanks Nick + Rochelle for allowing me the privilege of being a part of your wedding day. I couldn’t celebrate you two enough! <3
